Inventory, counts & ordering
Count it once. AnchOps does the rest.
Guided counts on a phone, a what-to-order list built straight from your last count, and par levels that re-tune themselves after every order. No spreadsheets, no clipboard, no “how much cheese do we usually get?”
Needs zero sales data to be valuable. Connect Toast and it also runs your food cost.

Inventory is where restaurants quietly bleed
- —You 86 a top seller on a Friday because nobody noticed the walk-in was light
- —You order “the usual” — and the usual was set two menus ago
- —Counts live on a clipboard that one person can read and nobody can audit
- —Dead stock sits on the shelf tying up cash, because par was always a guess
- —The count gets skipped the week you needed it most
The fix isn't counting harder. It's a system that turns every count into the next order — and learns from each one.
Counts that take minutes
A guided walk through your store
Set up your items once — shelf-to-sheet order, cases or units or weight — and assign each one to the places it actually lives. The mobile app turns the count into a walk: walk-in, freezer, dry storage, one stop at a time. Counted items stay checked off in place, an empty shelf is one tap (“None here”), and AnchOps won't let a whole area get skipped silently.
- Full counts and daily key counts — your critical items on a deadline AnchOps enforces
- Items in multiple places get a quantity per place, summed automatically
- Open containers go on the scale — tare comes off automatically
- Suspicious numbers get challenged before the count submits, so a missed shelf never pollutes your data
The counter sees one area at a time, in walk order. Items with no assigned home get their own stop — nothing falls through.

Built from the last completed count against Friday's pars — case math included. Adjust, commit, done.
From count to order
The order writes itself
Every completed count becomes a what-to-order list: last count vs. the par for your next order day, converted into cases. Order on Tuesday and Friday? Each day carries its own pars — Friday's stock has to survive until Tuesday, and AnchOps knows it.
- Per-order-day pars — Friday’s par and Tuesday’s par are different numbers
- Suggested quantities managers can adjust before committing
- Committed orders flow into receiving and the variance window automatically
Self-tuning pars
Par levels that learn — so you stop guessing
Here's the rule every good operator knows and no software has ever run: Friday's par is graded by what's left when Tuesday's order is placed. AnchOps runs that math after every single order.
Ran out twice?
Stock hit zero before the next order on 2 of the last 6 orders → raise par 25%.
Never dips below 60%?
Chronic overstock ties up cash and shelf space → lower par, gently.
Managers always order more?
If the crew consistently orders above the suggestion, par moves to where they already order.
- Suggest: recommendations appear in Par insights with the reason spelled out — applying is one tap.
- Automatic:after each committed order, AnchOps applies the reviewed recommendations itself — capped at ±25% per change, never touching a par a manager set in the last 30 days.
- Accountable: every change — manual, one-tap, or automatic — lands in the par change log with who, when, and before/after values. Automatic changes push a summary straight to the phones of the people who place orders.
- Forecast-aware (with Toast):if the coming window is forecast to run hot, AnchOps holds “lower par” suggestions and sizes “raise par” up — it never cuts stock into a busy weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a POS integration to use AnchOps inventory?
No. Items, guided counts, the what-to-order list, and self-tuning par levels all run on your counts and orders alone — no sales data, no budgets, no POS. Connecting Toast adds the layer on top: food cost, variance in dollars, and demand-aware par reviews.
What's the difference between a key count and a full count?
A full count walks everything you stock. A key count covers just the handful of items worth counting daily — cheese, dough, proteins. AnchOps supports both, and can hold your team to a daily key-count deadline: it reminds the closer, chases 45 minutes later, and escalates to a manager if the count still hasn't happened.
How do self-tuning pars actually work?
Friday's par is graded by what's left when Tuesday's order is placed — the last count before the next order. AnchOps runs that math after every order: if an item keeps running out, it recommends raising par; if stock never dips below 60% of par, it recommends lowering it; if managers keep ordering above the suggestion, it moves par to where they already order. You can apply recommendations with one tap, or turn on automatic mode.
Can I trust automatic par changes?
The guardrails are strict: any single change is capped at ±25%, AnchOps never touches a par a manager set in the last 30 days, it won't revisit its own change for 14 days, and every change is logged — who, when, before and after values — in a par change log you can open anytime. When it adjusts anything, the people who place orders get a push notification summarizing exactly what changed.
What if an item lives in more than one place?
Assign items to storage areas and the count becomes a guided walk: walk-in, freezer, dry storage, prep line — one stop at a time, in your order. An item that lives in three places gets a quantity in each, summed automatically. Items without a home get their own stop, so nothing falls through.
How much does AnchOps cost?
