Restaurant Scheduling Software That Actually Saves You Time

Stop spending hours building schedules. AnchOps gives you templates, availability tracking, and one-click publishing—so you can get back to running your restaurant.

You can easily create your schedule by employee, or by shift cards.

Scheduling Shouldn't Eat Up Your Whole Week

If you're like most restaurant managers, you spend way too much time on making your schedule. You're juggling availability, fielding time-off requests, and trying to remember who can actually work the Friday night close.

Then someone calls out, and the whole thing falls apart.

You end up overstaffed on slow nights, understaffed when it's slammed, and constantly fielding texts from employees who didn't know they were working. Meanwhile, your labor costs creep up and your stress level follows. And if you are like me, you wind up working to cover these shifts and missing out on other important events in your life. (Sound familiar? Read about the 5 scheduling mistakes that cost restaurants money.)

There is a better way.

Scheduling Built for How Restaurants Actually Work

AnchOps was built by a restaurant owner who got tired of the scheduling grind. After spending years building schedules by hand at Pizza Harbour, I built the tool I wish I had from day one.

It's fast. It's flexible. And it's designed for the way restaurants actually operate—not how software companies think they should.

Everything You Need to Schedule Smarter

Build Once, Reuse Forever
Create shift templates for your typical week and apply them with one click. Have a different setup for summer? Football season? Create multiple templates and switch between them as needed. When you apply a template, your labor budget is automatically set based on the hours built in. No extra spreadsheets required.
Only See Who's Available and Qualified
Scheduling shouldn't be a guessing game. When you go to fill a shift, AnchOps only shows you employees who are actually available and qualified for that position. Employees set their own availability—recurring (like 'never on Mondays') or one-time. Time-off requests are tracked automatically and reflected in the schedule.
Flexible Scheduling for How Your Team Really Works
In the real world, a manager might cover a driver shift. A line cook might jump on expo. Your scheduling software should handle that. AnchOps separates roles from shift positions. You define which roles can fill which positions. When it's time to schedule, you see exactly who's qualified.
See Your Schedule the Way You Need It
AnchOps gives you two views: By Employee to instantly spot if someone is over- or under-scheduled, and By Shift to see each shift as a card with all positions listed. Switch between views anytime. Use whichever works best for how you think.
Publish and Notify in Seconds
Schedules stay in draft mode while you work on them. Employees don't see anything until you're ready. When you're done, hit publish. Your team gets notified instantly. No more printing schedules, posting them on the wall, and hoping everyone checks.
Your Team Can Handle the Rest
Your employees don't need to text you every time they have a question. With the AnchOps mobile app, they can view their shifts, set availability, request time off, release shifts, and claim open shifts they're qualified for. You stay in control without being the bottleneck.

Scheduling That Protects Your Labor Budget

Your schedule isn't just about coverage—it's your labor budget in action. Every shift you add is money you're committing to spend.

Works With Your Existing Tools

AnchOps integrates with Toast POS to keep everything in sync. Connect your Toast account and:

  • Employees sync automatically
  • Timecard data flows in for easy review and approval
  • Sales data powers smarter labor budgeting

Already using Toast? You'll be up and running in minutes. Your hours data also powers automated tip calculations—so scheduling and tips work together seamlessly.

More integrations—including Square, Clover, and others—are on the roadmap.

Built by a Restaurant Owner, for Restaurant Owners

"I built AnchOps because I was spending 5+ hours a week on scheduling at my own pizzeria. Between juggling availability, chasing down coverage, and fixing mistakes, it was eating up time I should have spent on my team and my customers. Now scheduling takes me about 30 minutes. I built this tool for myself—and I think you'll love it too."

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to set up AnchOps scheduling?

Most restaurants are up and running in under an hour. If you connect Toast, your employees sync automatically. Otherwise, you can import them via CSV or add them manually. From there, you'll set up your roles, shift positions, and your first template.

Can employees swap shifts on their own?

Employees can request to release a shift they're scheduled for. That shift then posts to the open shift pool, where other qualified, available employees can claim it. Managers approve the change before it's final. You stay in control without being the middleman for every swap.

Does AnchOps work for restaurants with multiple locations?

Yes. Schedules are location-specific, but owners and managers can oversee multiple locations from one account. Employees who work at more than one location see all their shifts in one place.

What's the difference between a "role" and a "shift position"?

A role is an employee's job title—like Manager, Cook, or Server. A shift position is what they're filling on a given shift—like Closer, Expo, or Driver. AnchOps lets you define which roles can fill which positions, so you can schedule flexibly without confusion.

Does AnchOps handle time-off requests?

Yes. Employees submit time-off requests through the mobile app. Managers approve or deny them in the web app. Approved time off is automatically reflected in the schedule—so you won't accidentally schedule someone who's supposed to be out.

How much does AnchOps cost?

$59.99 per month, per location. There's a free 15-day trial with no credit card required.
